XiltriX
Clinical laboratory with automated analysers and monitored storage units
Clinical labs, pathology & diagnostics

Every stage of the diagnostic journey, under continuous watch.

Patient samples move through six critical stages from intake to diagnosis and archiving. XiltriX maps the whole journey, watches the analysers, incubators, freezers and rooms at every stage, and escalates deviations to your own team before they become losses.

Built for GxP

Protecting sample integrity, at every stage.

A clinical laboratory depends on tightly controlled conditions from sample accessioning to long-term archiving. The sector card below maps the operational journey in six stages: the key processes, the rooms, the equipment that must stay within range, the environmental parameters to watch, the standards that apply, and where XiltriX adds value. It is the same map our engineers use when designing a monitoring system for a clinical or pathology lab.

FAQ

Clinical labs: monitoring the whole sample journey

Which parameters are critical for a clinical lab under ISO 15189?

Critical parameters include temperature for refrigerators, freezers, and incubators; humidity and differential pressure for controlled rooms; CO₂/O₂ levels for incubators; and LN₂ level and pressure for cryogenic storage. Power and door status are also vital, as a failure or open door can compromise samples and invalidate results.

What standards apply to monitoring in clinical and pathology labs?

The primary standard is ISO 15189 for medical laboratories. Depending on the work, GxP (Good Practice) guidelines and GDP (Good Distribution Practice) for transport may also apply. Monitoring systems must support these with audit-ready documentation, data integrity (ALCOA+), and a traceable chain of custody.

How do you monitor automated analysers and equipment?

Beyond standard environmental monitoring like temperature and humidity, XiltriX can monitor equipment-specific parameters like vibration or shock, which can indicate mechanical issues. It also watches power status to provide early warning of outages that could halt automated runs and lead to downtime and sample loss.

Does XiltriX respond to alarms in our clinical laboratory?

No. XiltriX detects, alerts and escalates through your own configured on-call contacts, and your team decides who responds. The XiltriX 24/7 team is available when the monitoring system itself has a technical issue.
